Gemma Calder

After graduating from Macquarie University in 2012, Gemma went into private practice, working in several multidisciplinary practices in NSW and QLD before moving to the Shoalhaven, where she started working with the team at Basham Chiropractic.

While she's always enjoyed competing in a variety of sports, Gemma's enduring fitness passions are horse riding and swimming. She has worked extensively with both amateur and professional athletes, and loves the challenge of treating sport-specific injuries to get active individuals of all levels back to doing what they love.

Further to her Bachelor and Masters in Chiropractic, Gemma has pursued further studies in neurorehabilitation, dry needling, and is currently completing her International Sports Chiropractic qualification. She uses a variety of assessment and treatment techniques including spinal manipulative therapy (SMT), soft tissue therapies including dry needling, and home rehabilitation exercises, to get to the source of her patients' problems and get them back on track.
